Talk to you on the other side …

On Sunday night we’ll board a plane for Bristol, England. It’s the first stop on our five week jaunt across the continent of Europe. Yeah, I know, we went on a European adventure last year. Why go again? Why not go to Oregon or Brazil or beautiful Mount Airy Lodge? Well, there are a few reasons:
Actually, it’s mostly #2. Jamie left her job in July to join Slurve, my small web design studio. We work side by side all day long in our little apartment in Montclair. Since most of our clients don’t care if we’re in Montclair or Mozambique, we figured why not take the show on the road and change the scenery a bit?
Thanks to a pile of Continental frequent flier miles and a generous aunt in Copenhagen, it looks like a go. Our plan is to put on some black socks, settle into a nice Ikea chair in Denmark and get some work done. The rest of the time will be spent in the UK (visiting Cornwall, Wales and hanging out with Rich/Jen in London), Austria (with my cousin Anette) and the Czech Republic.
Another highlight of the trip will be a visit to Poland, where we’ll join some folks from our church at an ARC Conference in a small town called Gryfow. They say there’s kielbasa and horses and stuff there. We’ll also join our pastor as he preaches in a Polish church on October 21. Working overseas, eating licorice and wearing black socks will be fun, but we’re real excited about seeing how people worship God in Poland. It should be a great experience.
So, go ahead and bookmark this page or subscribe to the RSS feed if you’re into that sort of thing. I’ll have my MacBook with me so I plan on posting many stories and observations from the road. Laters.
