Slurve worked with Rutgers University to develop a custom website for their Criminal Justice program. Ingredients: Wordpress, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery.
Manilla's website is powered by a custom theme developed by Slurve. Custom post types, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery ... all that good stuff.
Slurve built The New School Student Senate in NYC a solid template powered entirely by our trusty friend, WordPress. It's even featured in the official WordPress showcase.
The Newark Mentoring Coalition is a not-for-profit group based in Newark, NJ. Slurve created a slick WordPress-based website for them to recruit volunteers and donations.
Hoboken needed to display large amounts of municipal information on their site in a clear and concise way. Slurve delivered a smooth, WordPress-powered design.
I've worked with lots of great people. See a full list here.
"Tom gets high points for web design and site construction, and he is very easy (and pleasant) to work with. We are very happy with the construction, design and usability of the Newark Mentoring Coalition site."

"We're a design school and I've produced a lot of websites, but the job Tom did for us was truly outstanding. He produced a great design with lots of technical functionality (mail, polls, forms) really fast, and any feature we needed seemed to appear instantly. Plus, the design has even impressed our most critical users."
Peter Ian Cummings / The New School Student Government / newschoolsenate.org
"Tom came highly recommended when we were looking to re-engineer our website, and he has exceeded our expectations. Feedback has been very positive, and it is now being much more actively used. The look and feel of the site is great, but for me the key to what Tom has engineered, is the simplicity of updating content."

"Working with Tom has been a pleasure. He had come to us highly recommended by IT experts in the educational field. We needed to establish a particular web page in English and Spanish for our director of neonatal research and academic affairs and Tom did it quickly and thoroughly."

Slurve was established in 2006 by Tom Rose, a New Jersey-native currently living in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.
I've worked on the web for 15 years, including full-time gigs with MLB.com, Yankees.com and NJ.com. That's actually where the term Slurve comes from. It's a baseball term — a combination of a slider and a curveball.
I do all work myself, from the initial design concepts to the finishing touches on the HTML and CSS. However, I'll occasionally collaborate with other designers and developers on larger projects.
When I'm not working on the web, I enjoy traveling to foreign countries, listening to (what I think is) good music and taking photographs.
I'd love to work with you. Get in touch!
